unikarloff: Why should I? There’s nothing they can do. It’s not like they’d really help me.
realblueshady: they’re not helping because you haven’t told them! we’re not all telepaths, Ramona! we can’t just take a guess as to when something happens. you need to trust us like we trust you
unikarloff: Do you trust me?
realblueshady: i do. but if you aren’t honest with us then we won’t really have a reason to, will we? you have to tell them.
unikarloff: I’m scared, Kurt.
realblueshady: Ramona, tell them. or I will.
unikarloff: What? So you can ruin things for me again? Spoil whatever time I have left? I can’t believe you still haven’t learned!
realblueshady: I’d watch what you say when you snap, little one. not everyone is as understanding, you know

unikarloff: I’ll probably die. The Darkforce consumes those it inhabits over time, and seeing as my powers are harder to control now, I’d say it’s started.

Face2Face Axel/Kurt: Hungry Hungry Hippos

Axel actually gave a wide smile, close mouth followed by a snort of a laugh when Kurt started on about being his chauffeur and doing the little bow thing. “They got a buffet here?” Now that brightened up the bespectacled mutant’s face. “What a Spa…Spatezel? How do you even say that, its like your tongue is trying to trip in your mouth.”

He slid easily into the passengers seat. “Say-ten-worst-el? He tried to pronounce the foreign words as he buckled up. “Did I get that right? Hey at least a buffet is gonna save your wallet.” Again he gave that to wide smile, looking around the car in curiousity. “Is everything about this place always so…nice? There’s not even wear marks on the seats or nothin.” He relaxed back into the seat as they started to drive out of the garage and down the driveway, aimed for town.

A laugh came from the German mutant as he looked at the other from over the vehicle, a chuckle still present in his voice as he said, “Spätzle. And I can say it because I’ve been saying it since I could walk and talk—or climb on walls, in my specific case!” Kurt tilted his head, still openly amused. “Of course they have a buffet around here. And you’re going to love it, I’m sure.” It was bound to be an interesting experience, to say the least. He gave Axel another friendly grin before ducking down to enter the car.

The key was put into the ignition as soon as the two males were seated, but he moved away to wait for Axel to put his seat belt on. Hearing someone else trying to say those words he was just so used to casually speaking in conversation was probably something he’d never get tired of. “Wunderbar!” he cheered, clapping his hands. “Saitenwürstle. There’s an umlaut over the u so you add an e after it in your head, so it sounds a little different. And don’t worry about my wallet. I said it’s my treat.” Now, he put the car in gear, switching the garage door to open for them as he placed his hands on the wheel. Once the way was clear, he drove forward and they made their way through the grounds. Of course, he made sure to shut the door behind them.

“We all take care of things here. I guess it’s from a sense of being thankful, but I don’t really know. Xavier keeps things running, Miss Sage keeps them balanced and organized, and we make sure things are used. Hard to explain.” Not long after, they were out of the institute gates and onto the streets and well on the way to the designated location. It was when they reached the first red light that Kurt looked at the watch on his wrist for a moment before activating one of the buttons—and in the blue male’s place now was a regular looking man. “But here’s the downside… of being me. Ach, but it doesn’t matter! We’ll have fun. How have you been? You look good.”

It really took no time at all for Axel to show up in the garage, the promise of free food was far to tempting. There was a slight change this time though, his bag wasn’t with him, he’d decided to take a chance, try and settle in a bit, and had left it in his room.

Without it, he looked even skinnier and taller, even slouched forward with his hands shoved into his hoody pockets as he was. “Heya, yeah, s’a better idea that you drive, I dunno how, I just walk everywhere.” And he didn’t mind walking, there were so many more shortcuts would could take on foot in a city. “So uh, where we going?”

Being a teleporter, it wasn’t long after Kurt had gotten dressed, gathered his phone, wallet, and other necessary times (including the rosary he usually wore around his neck when traveling), that he also showed up in the garage. When he had arrived, however, there was no one waiting for him, so he decided to grab the keys to the vehicle he chose to take for this trip into Bayville. A van wasn’t necessary, and he certainly wouldn’t take a truck, so the rather inconspicuous black car was the choice of the day. It was just when he made it about halfway from the collection of keys and toward the means of transportation that the garage door sounded behind him, showing that the taller mutant had arrived.

“Oh? Then do allow me the honor of being your chauffeur Axel,” he answered kindly, attitude paired with a grin and even a slight bow. When Kurt looked back up, and took notice of something being… missing, he blinked, expression not faltering but pausing. Then, when he realized Axel had left his pack, the grin grew, and his face warmed up a bit. At the question, he then stood fully, walking toward the car as he unlocked it with a click from the remote, beckoning the pale man toward him with a gesture of his hand before he opened the passenger door for him. “Well, I was thinking a buffet. It would seem we both have an appetite, and there’s this one place that serves all kinds of food. American classics, Chinese—they even had some Käsespätzle.” He then allowed the other male some space by moving to the driver’s side as he entered the passenger’s seat. Once he opened his own door, he began to elaborate, “That’s Spätzle with cheese and onions. Like… these egg noodles. My favorite is Spätzle und Saitenwürstle, though. That’s when it’s served with sausages. Really good.”

It was then that Kurt sat down and buckled up, checking the mirrors and looking for the garage opener while he waited for Axel to settle in.

[slides an envelope under his door containing a $50 gift card for the mall and a small note with a sketch of some balloons she drew and had colored] Happy Belated Birthday, Kurt!
